Ingredients

  • 2 cups boiled chickpeas (chana)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 medium onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (chopped)
  • 2–3 green chilies (slit)
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp oil or ghee
  • Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)

Preparation Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan. Add cumin seeds, then sauté onions until golden.
  2. Stir in ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes, and all dry spices. Cook until tomatoes soften.
  3. Add boiled chickpeas along with ½ cup water. Simmer for 10 minutes to absorb flavors.
  4. Crack eggs gently on top of the simmering chickpeas. Cover and cook on low until eggs are set to your liking.
  5. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander.
  6. Serve hot with naan, paratha, or fresh bread for a hearty breakfast.
